The PhD project “The sustainability of Mediterranean agri-food chain” takes place in collaboration with the University of Catania and Colleroni s.r.l., an established firm in Carlentini (SR). The objective of this research project is to study all the knowledge about technical, economic and managerial aspects which are involved in the fruit productions. In particular the study deepens all innovations and technologies for sustainable development for crops Mediterranean (citrus fruit, grapes). Each step of production chain will be evaluated. The final objective is to delve the business issues related to transition towards a model of sustainable in which the economic, environmental and social aspects are in balance, so as to obtain a sustainable product in which the final consumer recognizes the added value.
