Agricultural Economics and Valuation

The Research Unit groups professors and researchers of scientific sector AGR/01. The research activities cover typical topics of agricultural economics and policy, and economic valuation of resources. In particular, research addresses theoretical and applied issues related to: production, transformation, distribution, market and consumption of agri-food products; agri-food and agri-energy and biofuels systems; agri-food and environmental public policy; market and non-market valuation methods; economics tools for nature conservation.

Research projects are also carried out in cooperation with national and international research teams. Inside the Research Unit is active the Environmental Valuation Laboratory (Envalab).

The Research Unit cooperates with local public institutions, private firms and stakeholders.

Currently the Research Unit is composed by five full professors, six associate professors and five assistant professor.
