Fabrizio Lisi is currently a post-doctoral research fellow. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree (L-25) and Master's Degree (LM-69) in Agricultural Science and Technology between 2014 and 2020, and the PhD in ‘Agricultural, Food and Environmental Science’ in January 2025, at the same time as the ‘International Doctor’ certification. His PhD Thesis, entitled “New insights for the Drosophila suzukii sustainable management: integrating parasitoids into current pest management strategies”, focused on innovative sustainable control strategies for the management of this invasive pest.
During his training, Fabrizio spent a 12-month research period at the University of California, Berkeley (CA, USA) and the Kearney Agricultural Research and Extension Center (CA, USA) on a prestigious Fulbright scholarship. Through his experiences at Italian and international research institutions, he has cultivated interdisciplinary competencies in domains such as general and applied entomology, ecology, and toxicology
Fabrizio serves as a reviewer for over 10 indexed scientific journals of the WoS-Scopus circuit and has actively contributed to several national and international scientific congresses, including the Italian National Congress of Entomology and the Entomological Society of America Meeting.
The current research activities focus on several aspects of the sustainable management of the Spotted Wing Drosophila, Drosophila suzukii (Matsumura), such pest interactions with local and exotic parasitoids and ecotoxicology
