Elisa Lanza

Education and training

Graduated, in 2001, with a Master Degree in Architecture at the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria, with grade 110/110 cum laude.

In 2002 she obtained the qualification to practice as an architect. In the same year, she enrolled in the register of the Order of "Architects, Planners, Landscapers, Conservators”, Sector A and in the register Office Technical Consultant (CTU), both in the Province of Catania and she started professional activity by opening her own technical office, which is still operating today.

In 2003 she qualified to practice as a Safety Coordinator in the Design Phase (CSP) and Safety Coordinator in the Execution Phase (CSE), according to the Legislative Decree 81/08 and subsequent amendments.

In 2005 she obtained teaching qualification for teaching Class A037 "Construction sciences and technologies, technologies and techniques of graphic representation" at the SISSIS (Sicilian Interuniversity School of Specialization for Secondary Teaching) of Catania, with grade of 80/80.

From 2006 to 2010 she obtained the following post-graduate academic qualifications at the FOR.COM Interuniversity Consortium:

-  2006/07, Master Degree "Safety management in the school system (D. Lgs 626/94 and D.M. 382/98)".

-  2007/08, Master Degree "Management system for quality in schools (UNI EN 9001/2000)".

-  2008/09, Master Degree "Elements of solid and flat geometry".

-  2009/10, Master Degree in "School Evaluation and Programming".

In 2007/08 she obtained the "M.A.D", post graduate, "Master in Digital Architecture", at UNISOM, University Consortium for the University of Western Sicily and the Mediterranean basin.

In 2011 she obtained the qualification of "Manager and instructor" with registration in the Provincial register of Sicily for managers of work sites.

In 2013 she qualified as an Energy Certifier of Buildings and enrolled in the regional register of energy certifies of Sicily.

In 2015 she took part in the "Training internship on the protection of health and safety in mobile construction sites", at the Joint Territorial Committee in Catania.

In 2018 she took part, with full success, in the Second Level Secondary School Teachers Competition for Competition Class A037 "Construction sciences and technologies, technologies and techniques of graphic representation". 

In the same year, she qualified as Head of the Prevention and Protection Service (RSPP), at ANFOS, Territorial Peripheral Headquarters, Villa San Giovanni (RC)".

In 2020 she took the second Master Degree in "Safeguarding the territory, the environment and the landscape" at the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment of the University of Catania, with grade 110/110 cum laude.

In the same year she competed, with full success, in the call for applications for admission to the XXXVI cycle of the PhD course in "Agricultural, food and environmental science", organized by the University of Catania, with a research project entitled "Built-in zero -energy rural buildings through the use of construction materials deriving from agricultural and agri-food production waste".

 

Employment history

Since 2002 she has been working as a freelance architecht in her own professional bureau.

From 2010 to 2012 she could enjoy active collaboration with Ecowatt s.r.l. (CT) and Airon Group S.p.A. (FI), as a designer of residential photovoltaics and photovoltaic fields for production of electricity.

In 2011 she was Safety Coordinator in the Execution Phase Of The Works (CSE) of a regional work site in the Municipality of Sant'Agata li Battiati (CT), according to Legislative Decree 81/08 and subsequent amendments.

 

Teaching activity

In 1999 she was tutor in the Data Processing Course at the Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria.

In 2003/04 she held the course "Architecture and the city", training workshop at the "Mario Pluchinotta" Institute - S. Agata li Battiati (CT).

In 2004 she experienced teaching Computer Science and Mathematics at the regional school IAL/CISL Catania and Giarre (CT).

In 2015/16 she was a teacher trainer for the CAD_2D ECDL, at the "Archimede" Technical Institute - Catania.

In 2018/19 she was training teacher in the following courses:

- "General training course for the safety of workers in all production sectors" (Legislative Decree 81/08, Art. 36 and 37 paragraph 1 lit. a Consolidated Safety Act e ss.mm. Agreement on the state of the regions no 8 - 11.01.2012).

- "Refresher course for coordinators for the design and execution of works" (Legislative Decree 81/08 - Title IV and Annex XIV) - 40 hours.

- "Training course for coordinators for the design and execution of works" (Legislative Decree 81/08 - Title IV and Annex XIV) - 120 hours.

In 2018 she was speaker at the technical seminar: "Systems against falls from above". Building school CPT- OPT Syracuse.

In 2019 Tutor of "Apprenticeship Path" at IIS "E. Fermi - F. Eredia "- Catania.

From 2005 to 2015 she was teacher of the following disciplines: Construction sciences and technologies, technologies and techniques of graphic representation, Constructions, AutoCad, Design and history of art, Technology, Topography, Construction site management and safety, at secondary schools of I and II degree.

From 2015 until today, she is tenured teacher in "Construction sciences and technologies, technologies and techniques of graphic representation" (A037 class), in the Second Level Secondary School.

 

Design and competitions

In 2002 she partecitpated to the public competion in the national context of ideas, organized by the Municipality of Messina (ME), "Redevelopment and furnishing of Piazza Duomo in Messina". Winning project.

In 2003 she took part to the initiative "Adopt a road - adopt a garden", organized by the V DIRECTION LL.PP. IV SERVICE - Municipality of Catania "Design and construction of new green and urban furniture" Catania. Winning project.

 

Further information

Founder and vice president of the cultural association "Morfosis - Architecture research center", operating in the Catania and national areas for the enhancement of architectural culture.

Member of the Single Control Body of the Municipality of Mascalucia (CT) in the year 2018/2019.

Currently, Director of the Discipline Council and member of the Special Safety Office at the Order of Architects PPC of the Province of Catania.
