Didactic Regulation (RAD)

The Didactic Regulation, also referred to as the “RAD”, is an official document that defines the general structure of a university course of study, in accordance with Italian national legislation.
In particular, the Didactic Regulation establishes:

  • The reference degree class;
  • The specific educational objectives of the course;
  • The university training credits (CFU) to be acquired in each subject area;
  • The training activities;
  • The final qualification awarded;
  • The admission requirements and the methods for verifying initial preparation;
  • The language in which the course is delivered;
  • The expected professional outlets.

The RAD is approved at university level and must comply with the constraints set by the MUR (Ministry of University and Research), which establishes the general guidelines to ensure the homogeneity and quality of university courses in Italy.
