Marco Bonfanti

Graduated in “Mechanical Engineering” and PhD in “Structural Mechanics”, he is currently engaged as Research Fellow at the Di3A (Department of Food, Agriculture and Environment) of the University of Catania.

His main research activities of the recent past concerned “Mechanical and Thermal Measurements”, applied to the study of Polymers/Elastomers and Endodontic Instruments and aimed to the mechanical characterization. He provided didactic support in “Mechanical Measurements”, “Non-Destructive Tests” and “Machines Design”.

Currently, his twenty years of experience is made available for the design of new mobile devices (pedometers and collars) for dairy cows and innovative models for detecting oestrus and classifying cow behavioural activities.
