In the "Food packaging" laboratory, shelf life studies on food products are carried out. The main quality parameters are monitored over time. The visual characteristics are evaluated with the help of a darkroom and a scanner and the acquired images are then processed with a dedicated software.
Other monitored parameters include head space composition, weight changes, humidity.
The main chemical analyzes are performed including calculation of total polyphenols, fiber, anthocyanins, ascorbic acid and antioxidant activity.
