Tutor

Within each Degree Course, the role of the Academic Tutor has been established. These tutors operate in strict coordination and agreement with the President of the Degree Course, and in consultation with the Course Quality Assurance Management Group and the Departmental Joint Committee, providing students with information, guidance and support. The procedure for assigning tutors ensures an equitable distribution of students among individual Academic Tutors. Tutors meet students both in groups and individually. Group meetings take place collectively in the classroom (either in person or online) at least once a year, while individual meetings are arranged according to specific needs during designated office hours. Tutoring activities are regulated by University Regulations. In accordance with these, tutors provide support for teaching activities across the University and may also contribute to teaching through seminars organised by the University of Catania.
