In this laboratory, researches and studies on biology, systematics and taxonomy of insects belonging to Hemiptera with particular reference to Homoptera Sternorrhyncha (psyllids, aphids and scale insects) are conducted. The activities are related to the collection, preparation and conservation of insect samples for morphological observations and molecular analysis.

The laboratory is equipped with three optical microscopes and one stereo dissection microscope for observations and analysis of biological samples and preparation of microscope slides. Moreover, a chemical hood, a refrigerator with freezer and two driers are available.
