Full Professor of Agricultural and Food Economics, and Rural Appraisal [AGRI-01/A]

Full Professor of "“Economia ed Estimo rurale” (SSD: AGR/01)  teaches "Agri-food Economics" and "Management of Agricultural Enterprises." In the University of Catania, there he served since 1976, first as an assistant in charge, after the researcher and later as associate professor.

As part of organizational activities was deputy director and director of the Department of Economics and Agricultural Estimative (DiSEAE). Chairman of the group of self-assessment for the Project Campus One, referent of the TFA Agriculture, as well as delegate of the Rector Council CUS Catania.

Her research interests include of the economy of production and market reporting of alimentary goods and voluptuary goods(ornamental plant), that have allowed to realize an extensive scientific production. Peculiar and intense it was, and is, the research on organization, management, environmental sustainability and economic sustainability of citrus producers, fruit (fresh fruit and dried fruit), horticultural and gardening nursery. Of some interest in research on livestock breeds endangered and fish products. In this context, it is also significant interest on the consumption and foreign agri-food  trade and derivatives of plant and animal origin.. Besides, worthy of it notices the searches on the commercialization  citrus costs. The results achieved in 90 publications.
