Laboratory usage: research

The plant Virology laboratory has all the equipment necessary for the diagnosis and characterization of virus and virus-like pathogens (viruses, viroids, phytoplasmas, annoying bacteria) by traditional and molecular methods, with dedicated areas for DNA and RNA handling.

The equipment available are: centrifuges, hybridization oven, chemical hood and laminar flow hood, thermostatic bath and dry thermostat, PCR machines, refrigerators and freezers, horizontal and vertical electrophoretic tanks, analytical balance, semi-analytical balance, binocular, magnetic stirrers with roller, UV viewer and transilluminator.
