Laboratory usage: research
The instrumentation of this laboratory allows analytical determinations of the most important feedstuffs characteristics. In particular, the laboratory is provided with two fume hood for the solvent removal, and analyzer for fiber fractions (NDF, ADF and ADL), a Soxhlet extractor for lipid determination, a system for the digestion, distillation and titration of protein. Moreover, the laboratory is provided with an oven and a furnace for dry matter and ash analysis, and with a rotative solvent evaporator.
