PhD in Agricultural Entomology in 1996.
Assistant professor at the University of Catania, since 1996.

He is working on taxonomy of Scale Insects. 

He has carried out numerous tests, also for third parties, concerning crops protection from pests or pollination of entomophilous vegetables grown under greenhouse.

He was teach at the University of Catania: Agricultural and forest zoology; Basic phytoiatry; Agricultural entomology; Zoology and applied entomology; Methods of protection of field crops; Forest entomology; Zoology and elements of forest entomology. Collaborates to teaching of the Department.

Scientific manager of the Di3A - SiMuA Entomological Collections.
