The course will provide the theoretical insights and practical methodologies of control of agricultural pests in order to develop experts in Integrated Pest Management
Detailed Course Content
Evolution of control methods for insects and other arthropod pests. Agronomic, physical and chemical methods. Biotechnical methods: semio-chemicals and manipulation of signals. Genetic manipulation of plants and natural enemies. Integrated pest management and intervention thresholds - economic thresholds - principles of biological control.
