
Marco Sebastiano Bella
Marco Bella is a researcher in Animal Production Systems at Department Di3A, University of Catania. In 2002, he obtained the PhD title defending a thesis about the use of by-products in the animal nutrition. From 2004 to 2007 he has been a contract professor within the “Agricultural Science” and “Agricultural Science in Tropical and Sub-Tropical Environment” Academic courses. From 2007 up to now he has teached within “Agricultural Science in Tropical and Sub-Tropical Environment”, "Agricultural Science" and "Food Science and Technology" Academic course. Since 1994 he is involved in the research project “Alternative feeding sources for meat production”. Moreover he has taken part in the research project by ESA (Ente per lo Sviluppo Agricolo) focused on the characterization of sicilian sheep meat production and developed from 2004 to 2007. From the month of February 2022 is member of the Academic Committee of the University of Catania.

His research activity is focused on the animal products and, in particular, on the relationship between their quality and some feeding systems.
