  • Applying knowledge and understanding: to be able to manage the aforementioned knowledge in order to format texts, draw up tables and technical drawings, be able to effectively manage requests and choose best practices and customized solutions.
  • Making judgements: know how to use procedural communications and technical instructions, know how to use IT tools to identify potentially useful solutions for a given application context, in real problems, to study and work, be aware of the potential and limits of using information technology.
  • Communication skills: know how to communicate correctly and effectively using IT tools.
  • Learning skills: know how to learn in groups or alone and be able to connect the topics covered in this discipline and in other disciplines.

Course Structure

INTERACTIVE LESSONS IN LABORATORY, in detail with:

  • Frontal partecipated lessons (or in remote mode): 7 hours;
  • Individual or cooperative learning exercises (or exercises carried out by the teacher in remote mode): 28 hours.

If teaching is given in a mixed formula or remotely, necessary changes may be introduced to what was previously stated in order to comply with the provided and reported  syllabus.

Learning assessment may be done remotely if necessary.

As a guarantee of equal opportunities and in compliance with current laws, interested students can ask for a personal interview in order to plan any compensatory and/or dispensatory measures, based on their specific needs and on teaching objectives of the discipline. It is also possible to ask the departmental contacts of CInAP (Center for Active and Participatory Integration - Services for Disabilities and/or DSAs), in the persons of professors Giovanna Tropea Garzia and Anna De Angelis.

Learning Assessment

Learning Assessment Procedures

 Final practical exam in the computer, lasting 2 hours, on:

  1. Word: formatting a text in Word;
  2. Excel: creation of a table and its graph in Excel;
  3. CAD: drafting of a drawing (plan, elevation or section) on CAD.

During the course there are checks, two practical tests in progress, to ascertain the level of learning.

Verification of learning can also be carried out by online way if it will be necessary.

Evaluation criteria of the practical exam on the computer:

Each WORD, EXCEL AND CAD tests will be developed through a series of questions, if correct, will give a positive score to the candidate. No negative score will be awarded for incorrect and non-given questions.

The exam will be passed by the candidate if all three documents have an evaluation greater than or equal to 18/30.

Examples of frequently asked questions and / or exercises

Word formatting of the assigned text with setting of pages and columns, use of formatting styles, insertion of images and captions, creation of cross-references and automatic summary.

Drafting of a technical drawing (prospectus, plan or section) in Autocad, with the assigned measurements and use of layers, blocks and hatches, text and dimensions style.

Carrying out simple calculations with Excel by creating tables, formatting cells, applying formulas, and graphing the given or computed values.
