In particular, the student will be able to:

·         Knowledge and understanding: create, format, save and print a document; create and manage workbooks and worksheets, manage cells and ranges, present tables, apply formulas and functions, create graphs and objects; understand the basic concept of 2D computer auxiliary drawing; create, manipulate and modify objects or elements; insert objects from another application and print an elaborate; create and manage a presentation, insert and define the format of the slides and objects, create the content of the slides, apply the transition to the slides and the animation to the contents.

 ·         Applied knowledge and understanding: manage the above knowledge by applying it to text formatting, table processing and drawing drafting, manage requests effectively, choosing best practices and personal solutions.

 ·         Making judgments: knowing how to use procedural communications and technical instructions, knowing how to use IT tools to identify potentially useful solutions to a given application context in real problems, study and work, being aware of the potential and limits of the use of information Technology.

 ·         Communication skills: knowing how to communicate correctly and effectively using IT tools.

Ability to learn: knowing how to learn independently or in a group and being able to connect topics covered during the course and with other disciplines.

Course Structure

INTERACTIVE LESSONS IN THE

LABORATORY, in particular with:

Frontal (or distance)

participatory lessons: 7 hours;

Individual or cooperative

learning exercises (or remotely carried out by the teacher): 28 hours.

If the teaching is given in

mixed or distance learning mode, the necessary changes may be introduced with respect to what was previously stated, in order to respect the program envisaged and reported in the syllabus.

To guarantee equal opportunities and in compliance with the laws in force, interested students can request a personal interview in order to plan any compensatory and/or dispensatory measures, based on the educational objectives and specific needs. It is also possible to contact the CInAP (Centre for Active and Participatory Integration - Services for Disabilities and/or DSA) contact professor of our Department, Prof.Giovanna Tropea Garzia and Anna De Angelis

Learning Assessment

Learning Assessment Procedures

A final practical test on the computer, lasting 2 hours, on:

 1. Word document: formatting of a text in Word;

 2. Excel processing: creation of a table and its graph in Excel;

 3. CAD drawing: drafting of a drawing (plan, elevation or section) on CAD.

 During the course there are checks, two ongoing tests, to ascertain the level of learning.

 The verification of learning can also be carried out electronically, should the conditions require it.

 Evaluation criteria of the practical test on the computer:

 Each WORD, EXCEL AND CAD work will be developed with a series of questions whose correct completion will give a positive score to the candidate. No negative score will be awarded for incorrect and non-given questions.

 The exam will be passed if the threshold of 18/30 is exceeded in all three projects.

Examples of frequently asked questions and / or exercises

Word formatting of assigned text with page and column setup, formatting styles, inserting images and captions, creating cross-references and automatic table of contents.

Drafting of a technical drawing (prospectus, plan or section) in Autocad, respecting the assigned measurements and with the use of layers, blocks and hatches, captions and dimensions.

Carrying out simple calculations with Excel by creating tables, formatting cells, applying formulas and creating a graph with the resulting values.
