The course aims to provide basic information necessary for a critical approach to vocational disciplines that characterize the degree course. The student will acquire knowledge about cytology, morphology, structure, metabolism, reproduction, nomenclature, taxonomy and systematics of plant organisms (Prokaryotes, Fungi, Bryophytes, Tracheophytes, Spermatophyta). |

The prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell
The plant cell and life cycle patterns
Differentiation and function of tissues: meristematic and definitive tissues.
Differentiation and function of organs
Root: morphology, anatomy, modifications and adaptations to the environment
Shoot: morphology, anatomy, modifications and adaptations to the environment.
Leaf: morphology, anatomy, modifications and adaptations to the environment.
Evolution and systematic
Fungi: main features, reproduction, life cycle patterns and systematics (Chytridiomycota, Zygomycota, Ascomycota e Basidiomycota)
Bryophytes: main features, reproduction, life cycle patterns and systematics (Anthocerotophyta, Hepatophyta, Musci)
Tracheophytes: main features, reproduction, life cycle patterns and systematics of Pteridophytes
Spermatophyta: Gymnosperms and Angiosperms, main features, reproduction, life cycle patterns and systematics
