Learning Objectives

To acquire knowledge on the properties of liquids, the statics of liquids, the laws that regulate the water dynamics. The student will acquire
ability in the design and verification of pressure pipes and channels. This knowledge will be the basis for the design of irrigation systems.


Course Structure

Teaching includes lectures and exercises.

If the teaching is given in a mixed or remote way, the necessary changes with respect to what was previously stated may be introduced, in order to respect the program reported in the syllabus.

Detailed Course Content

The course is articulated in lectures and applied sessions. Topics: fluids properties, fundamentals of hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, design and verification of canals and pipes for water conveyance facilities.
