Expected Learning Outcomes

L’esame si svolge mediante un'unica prova basata su un colloquio orale per la verifica della conoscenza teorica e pratica degli argomenti svolti durante il corso. In particolare è necessario dare prova della capacità di risoluzione di semplici problemi di calcolo dei flussi di una rete di trasporto, di meccanica della locomozione e di progetto delle caratteristiche fondamentali di una linea di trasporto collettivo.

La valutazione dell'esame è basata sui seguenti criteri: livello di conoscenza degli argomenti richiesti, capacità espressiva e proprietà di linguaggio, capacità di applicare le conoscenze a semplici casi studio, capacità di collegamento dei diversi temi del programma di insegnamento.

Course Structure

Teaching takes place through a series of lectures, classroom exercises and in-depth seminars. A guided visit  of the Catania underground works will be carried out, based on the availability of the company responsible for the works.

Attendance of Lessons

Attendance is not compulsory, however, it is highly recommended because it facilitates the learning path and the assessment of the student’s merit. Registration for the course is mandatory on the site studium.unict.it.

Learning Assessment

Learning Assessment Procedures

The exam takes place through a single test based on an oral interview to verify the theoretical and practical knowledge of the topics carried out during the course. In particular, it is necessary to demonstrate the ability to solve simple problems of calculating the flows of a transport network, of the mechanics of locomotion and of designing the fundamental characteristics of a collective transport line.

The assessment of the exam is based on the following criteria: level of knowledge of the required topics, expressive ability and language properties, ability to apply knowledge to simple case studies, ability to link the different themes of the teaching program.
