2018-2021: PhD in Biotechnology, XXXVI cycle. Research project: Role of DNA methylation in regulation of gene expression of Giant reed (Arundo donax L.) under long-terms of salt stress. Supervisor: Angela Roberta Lo Piero.

2018: Master's Degree in Agricultural Biotechnology, University of Catania. Supervisor: Prof.ssa Angela Roberta Lo Piero. Degree thesis: Physiological and transcriptional response of Giant reed (Arundo donax L.) under long-terms of salt stress by genetic analysis of RNA-Seq results. Final mark: 110/110 and praise.

2016: Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Management  and Design of Territory and the Environment. Supervisor: Prof. Giuseppe Cucuzza.

Research activities:

- Physiological analysis (Photosynthetic efficiency, chlorophyll content, morpho-biometric parameters, fluorescence value) of crop weeds;

- Biochemical, Transcriptomic, Molecular, genetic and Epigenetic responses of Plants subjected to Biotic and Abiotic conditions;

- Molecular marker analysis (Short Tandem Repeats, SSR) for the study of genetic characterisation of different ecotypes of Arundo donax L.;

Bioinformatic analysis of data derived from molecular analysis.

Anno 2020: Transcriptional response of Giant reed (Arundo donax L.) low ecotype to long-term salt stress by unigene-based RNASeq;

Anno 2019: RNASeq analysis of giant cane reveals the leaf transcriptome dynamics under long-term salt stress.
